A non-threatening culture. Forms a small or large spreading colony. Individual cells begin in a defensive state, then briefly transition to a high scoring state and then a low scoring state. All cells in the colony have a limited lifespan.

A dangerous culture. New cells are generated from the head cell towards the edge of the dish. Slow moving. Can only be destroyed by hitting the head cell.
C110 Move Towards Player
A dangerous culture. New cells are generated from the head cell towards the player. Fast moving. Can only be destroyed by hitting the head cell.
C120 Move Away From Player
A dangerous culture. New cells are generated from the head cell away from the player. Slow moving. Can only be destroyed by hitting the head cell. Trailing cells act as a defensive screen for the head.
C200 Move Randomly
A dangerous culture. New cells are generated from the head cell in a random direction. Fast moving and unpredictable. Can only be destroyed by hitting the head cell. Trailing cells act as a defensive screen for the head.
C300 Dot Green
A single isolated cell which always appears when others of its type are in the dish. Low scoring. Easy to destroy. Each cell only lives for two seconds. Usually spawns close to the player.
C310 Dot Red
A single isolated cell which always appears when others of its type are in the dish. High scoring. Hard to destroy. Each cell only lives for two seconds. Usually spawns away from the player.
C320 Dot Blue
A single isolated cell which always appears when others of its type are in the dish. Impossible to destroy. Each cell only lives for two seconds. Usually spawns close to the player. Sometimes appears as a barrier for other cultures.

Comprised of near and far defensive cells, attacking cells and a nucleus cell. Hitting the nucleus cell will cause a temporary increase of growth of the near defensive cells. Repeated hits on the nucleus cell will eventually destroy the entire culture. Appears as one of three forms, which are progressively more difficult to eradicate. A warning system will alert the operator before the culture appears.
